In Our Own Words – Eighty81 Fashion Show Recap

First, Another Enemy would like to thank Eighty81 for including us to be a part of a monumental event in Cleveland.

Never before has the independent fashion of our city been celebrated in one place during one event.

Ordinarily, most of us do not collaborate together and bring something on this scale together to benefit all.

The segregation of Cleveland extends beyond all thoughts of race, neighborhood or income in our city.

Previously, it appeared that it would even enter the world of our craft, with certain entities aligning themselves against others…

Another Enemy isn’t just a clever name, we truly feel its an ” US versus THEM” approach in order to be successful…until now.

It was refreshing to see everyone working together, sweating, swearing, bleeding and striving to make one goal complete and powerful.

While in hindsight, we may all see what can be improved for the next attempt, one must wonder, why all the haters managed to have a voice after the fact, where clearly, they did nothing to make this event occur.

Many people have and will post their own write ups on this topic in the next few days, but from a participants aspect, you couldn’t have made this any better, but certain smug attitudes will attempt to take away from something that has never happend in our city. 

People think all true innovators are crazy, so its no wonder people are amazed that some of us, NEXT, Wrath Arcane, Heart & Sole, Brigade, Blessed Label, and The Above Boutique. are actually trying to make Cleveland better.
